Do you have a memoir manuscript (75 – 150 pages) to share with readers and receive feedback? In this class, we will workshop your complete manuscript. In the first meeting, we will discuss editing, revising and ordering a manuscript, as well as writing in response to a prompt. After emailing, reading and preparing notes, we will discuss the manuscripts together. Our careful reading and discussion will be on all aspects of the writing, including the narrative arc, the organization of chapters and themes, ethical and moral concerns, and individual line suggestions. Writers are encouraged to come with questions. By carefully reading and offering feedback on other writers’ manuscripts, each writer will become a better self-editor. Authors will leave with notes from the other writers and the instructor, as well as half a class dedicated to their manuscript. This class is limited to eight (8) students.
