William Blum - America's Deadliest Export: Democracy

If an action furthers democracy, who can object to it? In Blum’s view, however, U.S. foreign policy too often uses democracy as a cover for less noble intentions. Blum, whose dissatisfaction with American actions dates back to the Vietnam War, when he resigned from the State Department in protest, looks at a number of ideologies and conspiracies, and critiques U.S. involvement with nations such as Cuba and Iran.
