Slavko Goldstein - 1941: The Year That Keeps Returning
When the Nazis invaded Yugoslavia in April 1941, Goldstein, then age thirteen, lost his father, a leftwing bookseller. Goldstein’s family history is his country’s story, as well as an investigation of how peaceful neighbors can so brutally savage one another.
