Rosanne CashFor thirty years as a musician, Rosanne Cash has enjoyed critical success. In Composed: A Memoir, Cash writes about her upbringing as the child of country-music legend Johnny Cash and the stepdaughter of June Carter Cash. She grew up in Southern California, worked for Columbia Records in London, and recorded her first album on a German label. Her memoir recounts the long process of finding her place in the music industry.

This is a ticketed event. Two admission tickets are free with book purchase from P&P or are $10 each without purchase of the book. A book signing and Q&A will follow the author talk. This is not a musical performance, but CDs will be available for sale and signing.

Please note: On the day of the event, Wednesday, August 11, we can no longer accept online purchases or phone orders. Tickets and books will still be available at the door of the event. Doors open at 6 p.m. with general admission.

COMPOSED will arrive at the store on Tuesday, August 10. Books and tickets will be available on Tuesday, August 10 at Politics & Prose  - or on Wednesday, the day of the event, they can be picked up at Sixth & I Historic Synagogue after 6 p.m.  Books and tickets will NOT be mailed before the event. Signed books will be shipped after the event.

All our in-store events are free and open to the public.  All event titles are 20% off for members during the month in which the author appears at the store.  Click here for directions. There is ample parking available in the lot behind the store and in the surrounding neighborhood.
If you can't come to an event and still want an autographed copy of the book, you may purchase titles in advance either in the store, over the phone (202.364.1919 or 1.800.722.0790), or through our website. When buying online, simply use the checkout comments field to indicate that you would like us to request the author's signature at our event before shipping it to you. Event recordings on CD or MP3 are also available in the store and online.
