The eagerly awaited fourth volume in Caro’s monumental biography of Lyndon Johnson chronicles the 1960 election, LBJ’s relationships with John and Robert Kennedy, his frustrated tenure as vice president, the shock of JFK’s assassination, and Johnson’s masterful assumption of the presidency before the debacle of Vietnam. This event is co-sponsored with POLITICO.

Caro will be in-conversation with Mike Allen, chief White House correspondent for POLITICO.

This is a ticketed event and will take place at Sidwell Friends School. One general admission ticket is $18. One book and two complimentary admission tickets, $38.

The Passage of Power will arrive at Politics & Prose on Tuesday, May 1. Pre-reserved books may be collected in the store starting May 1st. On the day of the event, Wednesday, May 9, they may be collected at the event venue at Sidwell. Will Call and doors open at 6 p.m. and the event begins at 7. We will NOT ship books and tickets before the event.
