Louis Michael Seidman - On Constitutional Disobedience

Today’s world is radically different from the preindustrial, hierarchical one the founders knew when they framed the U.S. Constitution. Given all the social, economic, and political changes since 1776, Seidman, professor of constitutional law at Georgetown, argues that we need to reinterpret the text, not bow to a surmised “original intent”—and in fact disobedience was at the heart of the document. Mr. Seidman will be joined by Gary Peller a Professor of Law at Georgetown University.

If you purchase a book and ticket package for one of our co-sponsored events held outside of the store but are unable to attend, we will hold the book at our store for up to six months.
