Baker’s historical novel returns to the Bennet estate of Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, but shifts the focus from upstairs to downstairs. The protagonist here is Sarah, housemaid and orphan, as she begins to understand and test the limits of her station, as well as to enjoy the romancing of a former slave at nearby Netherfield Hall.

Beer and wine will be available.
