With influences ranging from Alice in Wonderland to Carl Hiaasen’s zany mysteries, Blau’s second novel follows twenty-year-old Allison as she flees drug dealers—while holding on to a bread bag of their cocaine.

Using two families, one white and one African American, Sagstetter’s stories explore different corners of the country over the last century, from the 1900 hurricane in Galveston to the Great Depression’s effect on oystermen, to the Vietnam War and millennial celebrations.

Beer and wine will be available.
