Granta Best of Young American Novelists 3

Upcoming Event
Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 7:00 pm

Every decade, Granta publishes a special issue devoted to new work by a group considered the most accomplished American fiction writers under the age of forty. Twenty years ago, the honor went to now established authors including Sherman Alexie, Edwidge Danticat, and Jeffrey Eugenides. In 2007, the list included the already impressive Anthony Doerr, Yiyun Li, Karen Russell, and Gary Shteyngart. As the tradition continues, join us for a reading by some of today’s most talented and exciting young American writers, selected by award-winning novelists Patrick deWitt, Kelly Link, Ben Marcus, and Granta’s editor and publisher, Sigrid Rausing.

We're excited to present:  Jesse Ball, poet and novelist, author of How to Set a Fire and Why; Mark Doten, Soho Press literary fiction editor and author of The Infernal; Rachel B. Glaser, a poet and fiction writer with a background in the visual arts, whose books include Paulina & Fran; Catherine Lacey, novelist and essayist, whose latest book is The Answers; and Sana Krasikov, author of the short story-collection One More Year and the recently published novel, The Patriots.
