Barry Blitt - Blitt — in conversation with Mike Allen

Upcoming Event
Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 5:00 pm

From the Obama fist bump to Hillary Clinton in the boxing ring to Donald Trump in a tiara, Blitt’s drawings have indelibly captured key political moments. A cartoonist and illustrator, Blitt has published several books for children, including The 39 Apartments of Ludwig van Beethoven, and has regularly contributed drawings for Frank Rich’s weekly column in The New York Times. He’s best known for his work for The New Yorker, and since 1992 he has contributed countless cartoons and over one hundred covers, including “Deluged,” which was named the Cover of the Year by the American Society of Magazine Editors in 2006. This new collection of Blitt’s work includes his iconic pieces as well as previously unpublished sketches and works in progress, Blitt’s own notes, and essays by writers including Frank Rich, Francoise Mouly, Steve Brodner, David Remnick, and Steven Heller.

Blitt will be in conversation with Mike Allen, co-founder of Axios and former chief political reporter for Politico.
