Applying and Preparing for Your MFA (17106)

Options for the serious study of writing are many and varied, and MFAs have proliferated in the last few decades. But what is right for you? A traditional graduate program? Something more genre-specific? Or a DIY program put together with online courses, summer writing workshops, and books on craft?

We’ll look at arguments for and against the MFA, factors to consider when choosing a program, and alternatives to the MFA. We’ll also think about a few things to bear in mind when applying and preparing for your program.
