Description
Benny's mother is cleaning up. First it's Benny's potatoes and sticks. Then it's Benny. She wants to give him a bath! And then it's Little Piggy. She wants to put him in the washing machine. Benny's had enough. He and Little Piggy run off to find a more congenial home. But, even setting aside the mudholes, the world is not as inviting as Benny had thought.
About the Author
Barbro Lindgren and Olof Landström also collaborated on the award-winning Benny and the Binky. They both live in Sweden.
Praise for Benny's Had Enough!…
"Enchanting. Benny's creators allow him free rein to sort things out without imposing judgment--a gift for any child." --Starred, The Horn Book "It's hard to decide which is more endearing and hilarious: Lindgren's text about Benny, an obstinate two-year-old pig, or Landström's illustrations . . . The story is simple and familiar; the quirky details of the text and art combine for a real treat." -- Kirkus Reviews
"Preschoolers are sure to sympathize with [Benny's] plight. Similar in theme but with a simpler text than Gene Zion's Harry the Dirty Dog, this delightful tale is sure to provoke giggles." -- School Library Journal
